Update Teams app

Connect Microsoft Teams for Confluence has two components: One for the Confluence side and one on the Microsoft Teams side.

This How-To shows the update of the Teams App.

You need to be a Teams administrator of your organization in Microsoft Teams to perform the following steps.

Installation on Teams

The Confluence App must already be installed on the server. If you haven't already done so, follow the instructions here: https://zuara.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ZAP/pages/924123170/Install+Confluence+app

To update the Teams App, go to your Confluence Administration area. Now click on Configure Connect Microsoft Teams.

Now configure and save your settings as described in https://zuara.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ZAP/pages/933462024/Configure and click on Download Microsoft Teams App.

You have to increase the Teams App Version before downloading or Teams won’t allow you to install the new version of the Microsoft Teams App.

Save the file to download, e.g. ConnectMsTeamsConfluence-{newversion}.zip

As an organizational Teams admin open your Teams Client and click on Apps on the left side bar. Now find the existing app, click on on the right side of the app icon and choose Update:

Upload now the ZIP file ConnectMsTeamsConfluence-{newversion}.zip. The app will then be updated.

Click on the app Confluence (or the name you set on Teams App Name before) and click on Open. The app is now updated system-wide.

Congratulations, you’ve completed the Update
